About Terrell

"I’m a licensed social worker and therapist in Washington State who takes pride in being a positive influence to others.

I attended the University of South Carolina, where I earned my BSW and MSW. My journey in the field began with a passion for inspiring youth, which ultimately led me to pursue the path of a licensed social worker.

Over the past three years, I have served children, individuals and couples, allowing me to continue making a meaningful impact in lives as I have specialized training in attachment and trauma.

You can usually find me outdoors, exploring new places, or hanging out with family and friends. These experiences keep me motivated and passionate about what I do. 😌

Services

Therapy Session

Individual Counseling (ages 12+)

Individual therapy focuses on personal growth and self-discovery, allowing individuals to explore their thoughts and feelings in a safe environment, develop a deeper sense of self and learn strategies to overcome distress.

Cooking Together

Couples Counseling

Couples counseling is a therapeutic process designed to help partners by addressing communication issues, emotional conflicts, and behavioral patterns.

Approaches

Attachment

Emotionally-Focused Therapy

I use Emotionally-Focused Therapy to help couples strengthen  their emotional awareness to better understand how to address one another's needs which helps create a more secure bond.

Mind-Body

Accelerated Resolution Therapy

Stress, including post-traumatic stress, can impact our physical and psychological wellbeing. ART focuses on the connection between the mind and body by eliciting images and reminders of trauma and using bilateral eye-movement techniques to help individuals remember their trauma in a way that maintains the facts about what happened, but also reduces physical and psychological stress.

Psychodynamic

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a specialized treatment designed for children and adolescents who have a history of abuse, neglect or other forms of trauma.

It combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with trauma-sensitive interventions that help children reduce their trauma reactions by learning coping skills that address behavioral and emotional reactions to stress and trauma and encourages children to redefine their traumatic experiences in a more empowering way.
